DJ Ricochet (aka Rick Carrasco) started his music career in 1980 while making mix tapes as a breakdancer and helped to start the hip hop scene in the Tri-Cities. Because of his dance music selection and his popularity in the music scene, he was asked to do events with such artist like MC Hammer, Troop, Lighter Shade Of Brown, and Sir Mix-A-Lot. While in high school, Ricochet hosted radio shows on 88.1 and bought his own sound system to do weddings, school dances, and corporate events. Also, he was producing music with his rap group Krazy F/X that won him the top music award at the 1990 Water Follies talent contest. After high school, Ricochet attended the Art Institute Of Seattle and Seattle University to study sound engineering and business marketing. While in college, Ricochet became well known in the Seattle club and rave scene. After college, Ricochet returned to the Tri-Cities to help start the EDM scene and helped to run the Tri-Cities first major nightclub called Details in Downtown Kennewick. A couple years later, Ricochet moved to San Jose California and was known for playing music at clubs Hi-Fi and The Usual. Later, Ricochet moved back to Washington to help start major Tri-City nightclubs called The Beach, McCabes, Towne Crier, Trash, Island Casino, and many others. Also, started one of the first ever heavy metal bands with a DJ that they called Happy Herbs. Recently, Ricochet has been a headline DJ at large events such as Burning Man (Nevada), Konnexion Music Festival (Idaho), Element 11 (Utah), and more. And, doing shows with well know artist like Tech N9ne, DJ Quik, Tone Loc, E-40, Young MC, and more. Ricochet is the only DJ to play at every nightclub in the Tri-Cities and is now a resident DJ for The Grizz (Pasco) and Towne Crier (Richland)
